What is Equine Sports Massage, PEMF & Red Light Therapy?
Equine Sports Massage
A hands-on therapy that uses targeted strokes, compression, and stretching to release muscle tension, improve mobility, and enhance your horse’s overall comfort.
Benefits:
Relieves muscle soreness and stiffness
Improves range of motion and flexibility
Enhances circulation and oxygen delivery
Supports faster recovery after training or competition
Reduces risk of injury by addressing tightness before it becomes a problem
Promotes relaxation and mental well-being
PEMF Therapy (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) using Magnawave
PEMF delivers gentle, pulsed magnetic fields into the body to stimulate cellular repair and boost natural healing processes — all without discomfort or downtime.
Benefits:
Increases circulation and oxygenation of tissues
Reduces pain and inflammation in joints, muscles, and tendons
Speeds recovery from injuries and surgeries
Supports tendon and ligament healing
Helps flush lactic acid after workouts for reduced post-ride stiffness
Boosts immune function and overall vitality
Red Light Therapy
A non-invasive light therapy that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular energy production.
Benefits:
Accelerates wound and tissue healing
Reduces inflammation and swelling
Relieves pain and soreness in targeted areas
Improves circulation and lymphatic drainage
Stimulates collagen production for tissue strength and repair
Enhances overall recovery after exercise
Why Combine Them?
When used together, these therapies work synergistically:
Massage prepares the muscles, improves circulation, and relaxes the horse.
PEMF boosts cellular energy and deep tissue healing.
Red Light pinpoints problem areas for accelerated recovery.
The result: a healthier, happier, more comfortable horse that can perform at its best and recover faster.
“Taylor is truly in tune with the horses—she notices even the smallest changes in their comfort and movement. My horse feels better after every session. She’s also so easy to work with and communicates clearly, making the whole process stress-free. On top of her skill, Taylor is such a kind person, and it shows in the way she handles each horse with patience and respect. I’m so grateful to have her as part of my horse’s care team.”

Hi, I’m Taylor Howard, the hands (and heart) behind Equine Bodywork by Taylor.
I’ve been fascinated by horses for as long as I can remember. I believe every horse — from the seasoned competitor to the beloved trail partner — deserves to feel their best, move freely, and enjoy their work.
I am certified in equine massage therapy (CEMT), PEMF (Magnawave practitioner) blending proven techniques with a holistic approach to restore balance, improve performance, and support long-term wellness. My goal is simple: to help your horse feel comfortable, recover faster, and perform at their peak.
Based in Orange County, California, I work closely with owners to create tailored sessions for each horse’s needs. Whether it’s releasing muscle tension, reducing inflammation, or promoting healing, I bring a calm, focused energy to every session — because I know that when your horse feels better, everything changes.
When I’m not working hands-on with horses, you’ll find me in the saddle, at the barn, or expanding my knowledge of equine health and wellness.
Your horse’s comfort is my priority — and their transformation is my greatest reward.
